The Music

Their electric music for the mind and body is mainly in the style of the Grateful Dead. It is Americana music based on country, blues, folk, rock and jazz but it relies on creative interplay between all the instruments to nurture sound sculptured mindscapes that absorb and draw on the audience to dance and participate in the performance. The studio quality sound of their live performances is carefully controlled with close attention to details and authentic instruments led by inspired vocals. The music goes where most musicians have never been. The structure of the music allows musicians freedom to explore their souls and play their feelings. For those that know why Grateful Dead music has had the largest and longest live performance fan base in history, there is no explanation required, for those that do not, there is no explanation possible.

The Players

The mature road hardened musicians present a professional sound and light show reminiscent of psychedelic San Francisco. While the Not Dead Yet have been performing together since 2010, the individual band members bring more than one hundred years of stage experience to every new show. The five piece ensemble includes lead and backup vocals, three guitars, percussion, a Hammond B3 and occasional guest performers. The playing styles are rooted in Americana and strive for fine tonal quality and clarity for the audience.
